Social Security, SSD, SSI

Have you been denied SSD in the Panama City, Panama City Beach or elsewhere in the Florida panhandle? We're here to help. Getting approved for disability benefits is often a lengthy and confusing process. There are numerous rules to follow and forms to submit. Properly collecting and submitting the important medical evidence can be difficult for claimants who represent themselves. Failing to get it right can be devastating to your case. What’s your best bet? Hiring an experienced disability attorney is the safest way to protect your claim.

SSD – Social Security Disability benefits are paid to people who can show that they have a medical condition that prevents them from working. The condition must be expected to last for at least one year or result in death. Additionally, you must have worked and paid into the Social Security system for the required number or quarters during the years before your disability began. More information -

Call us at 850-230-5550. The initial consultation with an attorney in our office is free and there is no obligation.

SSI – Supplemental Security Income pays benefits to those who are disabled and have limited income and resources. Unlike Social Security Disability benefits, there is no requirement that you have worked the sufficient number or quarters during the years before your disability began. Instead, you have to show that your income and the value of the items you own fall below the guidelines established by the Social Security Administration. But just like with Social Security Disability benefits, you still have to meet the definition of "disabled." More information -

Medical Insurance – Often, one of the biggest concerns for those seeking SSD or SSI benefits is access to proper medical care. The vast majority of those applying for benefits under either program do not have health insurance, and very few have the money to pay for necessary medical care and prescriptions. Fortunately, both the SSD and SSI programs have medical insurance associated with them that allow claimants to receive health care.

Attorney Fees – How do I pay my attorney for representing me? You don’t. The Social Security Administration will pay your attorney fees directly to your representative. We only get paid a fee if we are successful in getting you approved for benefits.
